The cost of counter-current pools varies depending on the model and individual requirements. Whilst simple suspended counter-current systems are relatively inexpensive, LD POOL’s integrated counter-current pools offer a more comprehensive product that integrates the flow technology directly into the pool. Although these complete solutions are more expensive than retrofit solutions, they offer higher performance, less maintenance and no hidden additional costs. Yes, our ready-made pool concept places a special focus on energy efficiency. The pool body is fitted with 15 cm thick XPS thermal insulation, which significantly reduces heat loss from the water. In addition, we use highly developed, state-of-the-art water treatment components.
Our LD flow technology works with high-performance turbines that achieve an output of 7.5 kW to 35 kW, depending on the model. These generate flow velocities of up to 0.52 min/100 m – a value that no other system achieves with comparable performance.

The power consumption of a counter-current pool depends on its performance. Our high-performance models such as the LD SPORT PROFESSIONAL require between 0 and 35 kW, depending on the setting. This corresponds to 35 kWh of power consumption for one hour at maximum speed. However, LD POOL also offers energy-saving models such as the LD ESSENTIAL, which consumes only 7.5 kWH at maximum power in one hour.
